The camp season is fast approaching and we are busy putting together our camp programs for the summer. FCA is one of the nation’s largest camping organizations, with over 40,000 campers attending FCA camps last summer where the name of the Lord Jesus Christ was lifted up and the Gospel was proclaimed. The brand new 2010 FCA Camp website is now up and running. Visit www.fcacamps.org to find out everything you need to know about FCA Camps and how to get involved.  It’s going to be a great summer of influence as we “Unleash the Power” of Jesus Christ in coaches and athletes at FCA Camps across the world!

In addition, FCA was active in partnering with the Pregnancy Support Clinic to present an abstinence program called Pure Love. This was Valdosta’s 5th annual Pure Love Conference, and the featured guest speaker Shawn Harper, former professional football player. Today Shawn speaks all over the country, bringing messages of hope and encouragement, and he is “on the move for the kingdom of God, changing lives and minds wherever he goes”. One of Shawn’s life statements is:  “You’re not born winners or losers; you’re born choosers.” Our local youth heard a message of sexual abstinence being a viable alternative and were encouraged to choose to maintain their purity.

Our annual Spring Banquet will have been held by the time you read this. Coach Ray Goff, former head coach at the University of Georgia, was our guest speaker, and he always brings an inspiring message.
