Finishing first for the Lady Cats was Rubi Flores (7) followed by Shienne Burnett (8).  Other top finishers were Lorrie Wicks (11), Callie Ragan (15) and Glennie Wicks (21).  Additional team members were Edith Barrios, Maribel Trejo, and Elizabeth Young.  The Lady Cats were coached by Erin Deloach this season.

The Echols boys’ team fell just three points short of repeating a championship title this year.  They claimed runner-up honors behind Baconton Charter School (65) with a score of 68.

Echols’ Angel Gonzales finished second overall with a time of 18:33 and qualified as an All-Region team member.  Other top finishers for the Wildcats were Taylor Treloar (8), Omar Everette (10), Francisco Villanueva (11) and Angel Ramirez (37).  Additional team members were Kevin Simpson, Alex Bueno, Jacob Brantley and Ethan Staten.

The Wildcats were coached by Freddy Sublett this season. Both Echols County teams will compete in the state meet held in Carrollton.
